Departing at 3:00 a.m., the offroad jeep passed through a sea of sand, arriving at the crater just as the sun appeared from behind the horizon. Bromo always amazes anyone who comes for the first time — and anyone who has done so many times.
Day 1
Gather at 20.00 WIB. Night trip to Probolinggo or directly to Bromo area. Take a break at basecamp.
Day 2
Wake up at 2:30. Take a 4WD offroad jeep through a sea of dark sand. Arrive at Penanjakan before dawn. Watch the sunrise that turns the sky into fire over the silhouettes of Bromo and Semeru.
Day 3
After sunrise, descend to the caldera and trek to the active Bromo crater. Photos in the crater, then back in the jeep. Breakfast and return to Banyuwangi.
